My current role is HR Manager for a regional credit union. I have always struggled with the hard conversations both in my personal life and with staff. As part of my personal/professional development I decided that coaching would be a good way to enhance my communication skills.

I commenced a 12 week Coaching Program with Coaching Professionals in February 2012 with Sue Montgomery as my Coach. This has been one of the most rewarding journeys that I have been on in relation to my self development.

At first I was sceptical, as I have a soft nature and always assumed that I did not have the personality to deal with more difficult situations. Ten weeks on and I now believe that I have become more structured in my appoach.

Coaching has taught me that I dont have to save everyone, that I can help more by guiding others to make the decision that is right for them.

I have even had others comment that they have noticed a difference in my approach to conversations.

My goal at the beginning of my coaching was to be structured and honest in my communication. I know that I have achieved this and continue to grow in confidence.
